Superior to the 2011 vintage, this Cab is full of chocolate, cinnamon, and black cherries with a thick tannic coffee finish. Great cocktail wine 🍷

Avalon celebrates the world’s most popular grape, Cabernet Sauvignon. Our Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is produced from grapes grown in selected sub-appellations within this world famous growing region.

Rutherford AVA: Producing world renown Cabernet for over a century, this distinct terroir reflects the legendary “Rutherford Dust” and adds a powerful elegance and complexity to the wine.

Atlas Peak AVA: Classic Napa mountain fruit. Temperatures tend to be about 10 degrees cooler than the valley floor. This allows for longer hang time and flavor development that adds concentration and complexity to the wine.

Chiles Valley District: Nestled in the Vaca Mountains on the northeast side of Napa Valley, this appellation has a warmer climate than other portions of Napa Valley and adds lush, rich fruit flavors and velvety tannins.

Coombsville AVA: A newly designated AVA, Coombsville has moderate temperatures and a long slow growing season. These vineyards provide excellent structure and mouth feel, along with underlying layers of earth and mineral flavors.

Nice, inexpensive California Cab that I brought home from The Wine House, to share with my husband while watching Sunday night TV. Nice fruit and some oak.

All the full-bodied taste is going well with our pizza tonight.

Tabacco, blackberry, wood polish and minty dark cocoa on the nose. Dark fruit and grainy tannins on the surprisingly light palate. The pleasant nose writes checks the underwhelming palate doesn't quite cash.

Thin for a Cabernet but it paired really well with a ribeye for dinner.
