A deep reddish purple, the '09 Auteur Pinot Noir 'Shea Vineyard' emitted floral-tinged scents of pomegranate, cinnamon and oak. The crisply acidic flavor profile leaned toward dark berry jam and bittersweet chocolate. Showed considerable depth and refinement with firm, but supple, tannins.
