Beautiful reserve version of this great cab. Very smooth, velvety and subtle tannins. Delicious!

Deep Ruby with aromas of ripe fruits, with toasty cedar and sweet baking spice notes. On the palate flavors of black cherry and blackberry with licorice and cacao adding in oak and leather. Well balanced with acidity, big smooth ripe tannins, long finish ending with oak and creamy vanilla spice. Has room to age. Nice!

A very nice cab, but Paso Robles has a slightly acidic “pinot”-style bite. Different than Napa. In a blind taste I might have confused it with syrah! 2018.

...this was good. Only the sweet finish after the swirl lets you know it’s not Caymus. Picking up a case tomorrow.
