Blend 6 Troublemaker Red Rhone Blend
Sommelier, International Wine Guild; Balistreri Vineyard; Sales, Joy Wine and Spirits
Full bodied but nothing dangerous. Seems to have a creamy oaky vanilla note along with a toasty smokey note on the end, which to experienced wine drinkers may come off slightly fake.

Strong Nose of blackberries, black currants, sweet plums, cherry pie, figs, raisins, chocolates, light vanilla, licorice, wood, mocha, dark coffee, light alcohol, peppercorn and spices.
Full-bodied, smooth and Jammy, with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry and fruity on the palate with blackberries, black currants, wood, vanilla, licorice, sweet strawberries, leather, earth, graphite, chocolates, coffee, bitter herbs, caramel, Mediterranean spices and peppercorn.
Nice length on the finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cranberries.
This is a nice Syrah blend from Central Coast, California. Very enjoyable by itself, and good right out of the bottle.
Good for parties or as a sipping wine. Well balanced with some complexity, and nice acidity to make it interesting. Better young, not for long term aging.
I paired it with a cheese plate and crackers.
A blend of 71% Syrah, 16% Grenache, 8% Zinfandel, 3% Petite Sirah and 2% Mourvedre.
14.5% alcohol by volume.

Uh oh! Interesting concept but if I want a glass of Porter Stout I'll by a beer not a GSMZ Solera NV Scooby

Mar 18th, 2014Deep, cool and fruit forward. Similar wine to the Pepper Pot but much better.

Lots of flavor , lots a fruit!! Great blend
Heavy overtly hammy fruit almost to the point of overwhelming, the zin based wine blended with powerful Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Syrah is meant for the spicy dish or a very strong cheese. It has a nice acid balance but few detectable tannins... unsure if a nice decanting could help... wondering if aging could help to help the fruit to be less powerful and allow tannic structure to be revealed...
