I’m such a big fan of these wines. They definitely make my excitement level rise each and every time. Enjoyed as a birthday wine and it didn’t disappoint.

Deep maroon with violet specks. The nose is full of fruit at first with so much raspberry and cherry. Nighttime forest aromas begin to peak with shrubbery and mushrooms taking over. Medium bodied and very lively, it’s a youthful Burg meant to drink now, while still possessing nice depth. More than just an “everyday Burgundy”, this is good stuff.

Blackberry, baking spice, nice acidity, more of a modern style. Not sure if it’s the amount of oak or the toast (or both), but the oak really sticks out and detracts for me
