A pretty dark cherry color color with a light red rim. Mostly fruit on the nose with black cherry and blackberry along with tea and some oak. I love this wine. I love this guy’s wines. He makes the perfect encapsulation of approachable Burgundy. So clean, focused, and pure. Vivacious acidity and refined tannins here and should improve with age. More fruit on the palate than I expected with plenty of cherries, plums, and blueberries. Tons of earth here with just the faintest amount of funk. Spice on the long finish. Such a beautiful Pinot Noir.
