Inky, brooding, fun. A crowd pleaser. Not too old.

Didn’t read the label closely. Thought I was opening their Pinot Noir. Starting smelling and thinking it quite an atypical Pinot. Had to go back and check and see that I opened a Petite Sirah. It opened up throughout the evening and even had notes of Delaware Punch which was very interesting to me.

Strong blackberry, some blueberry. Mild tannins. Medium-length finish, hint of jammyness. Mild spice mid-palette. Almost tastes like a good blackberry pie; just without the sweetness. Drank with Charleston’s ribs and steak on Mother’s Day ‘19.
