Cola notes, red and purple fruits. Tame and sophisticated, lots of complexity on the nose. In a great place, continued to get better with more air.

Feb 1st, 2016This one was opened alongside a 2006 Aubert Reuling, and in all honesty this one was thicker, deeper, and more 'youthful' although this one really was showing some secondary notes too. The nose of this wine showed dirty raspberry, clove, and entered with a much more 'full bodied' expression. Hawthorne and lily. The middle of this wine seemed as though it wanted to go darker, but never did. I think that the best drinking time for this wine was likely 2016-17, although there is likely to be a bit of bottle variation at this point.

Mar 24th, 20182009 Aubert UV Vineyard Pinot Noir. Drank at DR concert. This wine was overshadowed by the more massive wines we drank during the night, but it was super lovely to drink. Jammy red fruits and perfumey notes. Easy drinking and lovely!

Jul 19th, 2016Drinking over the course of six hours. Settling down nicely, and losing the initial hints of cherry cough syrup. Give it time in the glass; quite nice. (Thanks Pete!)
