Aubert Pinot Noir just in time for Christmas Eve, enjoyed as per wineries instructions: double decanted and aerated for four hours. Bright burgundy color. The nose is classic with ripe red cherries as well as oak and slight hints of wet earth and clove. Absolutely youthful seductive pallet with a burst of ripe red fruit plus impressive acidity.
Overall this an excellent Pinot with a youthful restlessness. A tad elevated on the alcohol, and the oak (although less so). Seven years from now this will be on point. Hoping to save a couple of bottles for then.
