Very interesting and different than normal. I didn’t get the typical notes that I usually do. Menthol and wintergreen were very evident. Still good, but very unexpected.

Lots of viscosity and just a delightful palpable mouthfeel. Pear, cut flowers and the essence of a babbling mountain brook. To me, the Lauren has always been the classiest of the Aubert SVDs.

Another 4th Friday for the books!

Dan was kind enough to bring and open this knowing Aubert’s Lauren is my favorite. This bottle never fails to impress me. I love the honeyed marzipan, sweet lemon cream nose and the rounded, luscious, cashew/smoked popcorn notes on the palate.

Classic Aubert. Big, oaky, and great acid. Opened for 2 hours and really blossomed into a good chard!

Such a great wine with tons of life left. Still a baby and needed air to open.

Decanted for 2 hours. Opened up nicely and was a pleasure to drink. The oak was integrated and it wasn't too heavy. Just a great wine

Way, way too young to drink right now. If you do, decant it for at least 4 hours. That is when it began to barely open up. You can tell the pedigree is there, but all the goodness is closed up right now...

Rich yet subtle, impressive minerality and viscous texture. This one never misses. Still young but a close second to Kongs Judge for my fave CA chard.
