Slight fruit flavors on the nose. Cherry and earthy flavors. The spice is under developed and lingers softly. Unfortunately it is masked by the elevated tannins. The wine overall is light and dry. For a reserva Rioja the wine is missing many of the necessary characteristics that are expected, even the oak is hidden....disappointing.
