Cuvée Michel Léon Alsace AOC Gewürztraminer

Very nice Gewurztraminer from the original home of varietal wines. Controlled sweetness for a Gewurz and good flavor. Served with cheese fondue

No depth. White flowers on the nose, lychee bomb on the mouth, a slight mineral finish but rather short.

Lychee, pear notes.

Not too sweet

I'm pretty sure this is my first Gewurtztraminer--picked it up out of curiosity for approx $10 at Trader Joe's. Wow, does it taste sweet. Reminded me of the candied lychee treats I used to eat in China. Also pineapple, peach, and a touch of spice. Not bad, but not really my taste!

Green apple and pear on the nose, peach and lychee on the palate. Sweet little summer drink.
