Tree bark, dry, port wine dark chocolate. Plays well with a pork chop.

Downright terrible, standard issue cherry cola chocolate and berries zin nose, but turning cough-syrupy. Nothing on the palate separating wine from juice....and thats what this was. Astringent and chemical on the finish. $25!!!!!?????

2012 vintage. Big high-toned Zin nose of blueberry and red raspberry with slight brambly aspects. Does not smell cooked. Pleasant enough on the palate except for coming across a bit alcoholic (our bottle was warm though), good spice, surprisingly good acid, medium tannin. Decent enough.

Some tar, olive and smoke all in good ways on the nose. Something woodsy and resinous in there too. Flavor is rich and ripe. Smokey ham and black berry sauce. Pretty classic Zin flavors. Like a Ravenswood or Seghesio. Pretty fruit driven and nothing subtle to see here, but tasty and satisfying.

Not the best I’ve ever had, totally drinkable, especially with food.

Light, astringent, no complexity, medium tannins with no silkiness. Did not feel like a zin
