I tend to like everything that @duncanarnot and @make but I don’t buy every wine they make, mostly because I don’t have an unlimited budget and there are some of their wines I really, really love. But recently I decided to get a bottle of their Kirschemannn Zinfandel, and it’s glorious. At 12.6% alcohol it’s this wonderfully easy-to-drink balance between boysenberry fruit and lovelely fresh herbal essence. Fabulous acidity and wonderfully floral finish. Zinfandel made like a Pinot Noir, if you will. Ethereal even. And how can you go wrong with vines farmed by @ownrooted? 2017 Arnot-Roberts “Kirschenmann Vineyard” Zinfandel, Mokelumne River, Lodi, CA.
