A hint of heat on opening (even at 11.8%!)... a bit of air brought out pepper notes... after a full decant just lush, deep, and tasty. Wish I had more.

Seems to be trying a little too hard to keep acidity, other than that great wine nose and flavor palate.

Smoky, gamey nose. Very much like Northern Rhone. Palate is so lean, but great flavors. Seems a little disjointed in my mind. Wonder if this will ever flesh out?

I wanted more from this. A lot of fruit but not a lot of syrah typicty. Pretty though.
