La Fontaine Syrah
Not sure why @Delectable Wine identifies this as a “Shiraz.” It’s called “Syrah” over on these shores. 🤣🤣 notes to follow. Nose has a lot going on. Clean sweat, sweet-tart mountain berries, slightly smoky crushed rock, sweet raw beef. Very Saint-Joseph in style in the mouth, with a leaner, crisper style than many other Walla Walla Syrahs. Only 13.2% alcohol. Lightly fruity but mostly savory, mineral flavors. Crisp, medium length finish. A bit of tannin adding some scaffolding. A versatile Syrah.
