This six-year-old Pinot Gris from Oregon is drinking very nicely now. Showing nice complexity with a nice mouthfeel.

Big and bold with lots of interesting notes both on the nose and palate.

Showing citrus, bruised apples, light grapefruits, vegetables, peaches, minerals, white pepper and spices.

A great wine to have by itself, share with friends and talk about.

I love these white wines that with some age become something completely different.

Better when not very cold.

I had this vintage a year ago, and it is much better this time around.

12.8% alcohol by volume.

90 points.

Pale lemon in color with a yellow/ golden hue.

Fruity nose of ripen citrus fruits, lemons, light tropical fruits, minerals, pears, earth, almonds, light vegetables, honey and light spices.

Full-bodied with medium acidity and nice legs.

Dry on the palate with citrus, lemons, yellow apples, pears, spices, earth, light vegetables and herbs.

Medium length on the finish with spices and bitter almonds.

This is an interesting Single Vineyard Pinot Gris from Oregon State.

Pinot Gris is usually simple and easy drinking, yet this is showing more complexity than I expected, with a bigger mouthfeel.

Needs 20 minutes of airtime to open up properly.

I really liked the mouthfeel, as it coats the whole mouth with a brief touch of sweetness.

A good wine to sip by the porch, and good for parties too.

Good by itself or with food. Easy drinking and will pair nicely with salads. I paired it with meats, cheeses and light appetizers.

Armonea is the Winery at Wine Country Farm B&B where we stayed during our Oregon wine trip. The Pinot Gris is a little sweet, slightly smokey and low alcohol at 12.8%.
