Brett, sage, thyme, fresh black currants, prune, pyrazene and mint. Mushroom/truffle, and leather & tar. Smoke/ash-tray on the palate. Angular tannins, and medium minus acid.

Masterpiece blend of Cabernet Franc, Cab Sauv, and Merlot. Intense and heady aroma of stewed plum, chewy raisins, leather and rosemary. A little lighter on the tongue with some oak. But still very well rounded with deep and complex fruit. The Jackson family experiment in Tuscany is a great success.

I won’t repeat what I said in December 2019 when I reviewed the flavor profile. This is a great wine with structure, structure, structure. Amazing what can be done with a majority cab franc blend.

Blind tasted and thought it was either an old cab or possibly cab franc. Nose and palate had leather and black olive. Really held nicely together and very velvety.
