Typical restrained Acadian take on powerful Pisoni fruit. That said, this wasn't the enchanting model of complexity and depth that other bottles of the '01 have been. Weird hole in the mid palate, and lacking life and verve. Still tasty, but this should have had another gear.

Tasting with Alberty - the 2001 Pisoni vineyard Pinot from Arcadian is probably the most complex and distinguished. It's not quite in the "red zone" yet, but has all the right stuff.

Full of energy with high toned red fruits....would never guess this was 18 yrs old except for its color which is fading. Great wine with lots of life left

2001: Amazing vitality for a 14 year old Pinot. Translucent ruby color that is slightly fading but not browning at all. Still some grip and acid. High toned red cherry aromas, cinnamon and a whif of wet forest floor. Drink now and over the next decade.
