A well off friend did bring this one to our Friday tasting at the wine store ---- and yesterday I first liked it and then was unimpressed??? Just a bunch of acid and little fruit behind it so my bet was this will not make it. Michele I think she is a sommelier agreed. So this morning I am sitting here in the sun and give it a second shot after air for 15 hours (that should do it 😁). AND? I was wrong! Red currant nose very Burgundian 12.8%. In a blind tasting I would think this is a Gevrey Chambertin. Tealeaves, forest floor, dirt, cloves, all spice, dark berries and just a super tiny hint at California fruit very impressive! So the problem is how long do you need to give this air 30 min or 15 hours oh boy 👍🍷🍷🍷.
