One of the best views on Howell Mountain? Without a doubt! This winery is like a man cave dream...a whiskey and cigar room, big fireplaces, fire pits with views, deer antlers. Felt like I was at a mountainous lodge. Joined the wine club a few months ago because their wines can only be purchased if Grant or Austin has met you in person. Love that old school model. Their cab franc is my favorite, but this Mountain cab is a close second and so gorgeous. Great cab blend that highlights the beauty of mountain cabs...deep and dark, plum, dark in the glass, tobacco, Velvet texture on the palate. Could smell this wine and not even taste and be ok with that.

We loved this 2014 red blend. With beautiful nose, lovely spicy black fruit. Unctuous mouthfeel and deep rich flavors on the finish. Great balance. No strong tannins or sharp acid. Ink red black. Not sure of blend but I’d guess Cab, Merlot, Petit Verdot. And maybe cab franc.

Unearthed too quickly. Didn’t realize it was a 2019 😅. You could certainly sense it has lots of potential but it just didn’t come out of its shell. Dark red flavors of pie cherries and pomegranate, fine grained tannins. Too young, too tight, too impatient 😁.
