Lovely old blau. Dark garnet hue, nearly inky. This wine features a firm tannin structure that must be opened up properly. Decanted for around 2 hours and it was still evolving and moving. Coffee and chocolate nose, with baked blueberries and plum. Quite complex aromas. As it opened it kept its dense acidity and heavy body but brought on some pipe tobacco and sour cherries with baking spices. Really complex and lingering.

Oct 9th, 2022Heavy black pepper & tobacco, smoke and ripe dark cherry on the nose. Fuller body, ripe dark fruit on the palate, delicate sweet oak, inky chocolate notes, juicy but clean.
