Jun 17th, 2016Brilliant stone fruit with floral nose and balanced acidity. Excellent with herbed cheese and stands up to smoked meats.

Mar 3rd, 2019Unfortunately, if the som would have tell me clearly it is deeply floral, roses, and passion fruit, I would have clearly skipped.... he didnt and I really did not have a good time, but that is my very personal taste. Probably very well made but not for me.

Feb 17th, 2019Picked up this great PG from David @ Wine Noir in Sheridan for our Springbreak trip to the coast. Wonderful citrus flavor and smooth--so nice to find a small producer right in our backyard. I look forward to visiting this vineyard in Gastonia. Cheers!

Mar 30th, 2017For starters, a beautiful color on this wine. It's halfway between a pale copper and a pastel peach. Just gorgeous.
The elegance of the color segues seamlessly to the nose. Soft, gentle, feminine aromas rise in a most ethereal way from the glass. There's a tropical fruit note that dominates but doesn't overpower. Hate to say it, but it's passionfruit!
See the thing is, Passionfruit is also a very typical note from the same producer's Pinot Noir... to the point where one of his bottlings is called "Passiflora"
So now, it's becoming apparent that Passionfruit is simply a calling card component of this vineyard's terroir! How delightfully unique!
There's also some fine rose petal and spring rain in there. Quite nice.
Acidity is mouthwatering, finish is clean. Fruity but dry. This is super solid! Seek it out if you can!
