Medium bodied With lots of fruit and spices (I did to it justice tasting side-by-side with DRC, just saying). Black cherry, fennel and rosemary. Nice layered finish.

Mineral, graphite; non-fruited-just pure energy.

In a line up with GC burgundy, blinded. Had everyone fooled. Volcanic shallow soil and young vines. Meticulous berry sorting.
Shows Oregon can produce wines of world class potential. Still a baby. Cooler vintage less critically acclaimed, but probably more aligned with burgundy lover preferences.

Wine of the day! Also learned about the intense care put into these wines, single berry sorting, etc.

A little young today, but could be beautiful in a few years. Put this one away!
