Anselmo Mendes
Pardusco Vinho Verde Alvarelhão
Pale translucent blue tinged ruby. Nose is subtly fruity and slightly mineral. Palate is higher acid and almost no perceptible tannin. Good to serve as a relatively simple, chill able bistro wine.

Jun 18th, 2023One of my favorite Portuguese producers, but this time with an entry level red. Red fruited & simple but with an added tertiary dimension. Medium bodied & muted acidity

Oct 18th, 20222012 A nice discovery one of the rare red from from Vinho Verde, only a man could pull this great and refreshing wine, by Anselmo Mendes ( One of the king of Alvarinho grape) - this wine tend to be slight chilled, and it has a light profile - Pardusco was the name given to the first red wines exported to England in the 14th century - a surprise at a very good price 5 euros 😋 good and simple wine

Aug 5th, 2022Very light Portuguese, different from the heartier and juicy wines from Douro region. Closer to a Pinot noir!
