Annick Bachelet
Les Charmes Morgon Gamay
Deep ruby color. Aromas and flavors of black cherry and black plum, violets, lavender, cola, black pepper and wet shale. Long earthy finish. Quite fruit forward but there are enough tertiary notes to make this wine harmonious. Mouth watering acidity and fine tannins. Medium bodied and nicely structured. Solid QPR.

Jun 22nd, 2024Don’t get me wrong, this wine is good. But it tastes more like a basic Beaujolais than a Morgon. I think I only paid around $15 for it, though, so I can’t really complain.
