Pertimali Brunello di Montalcino

Had several times. Medium Ruby with fragrant berry fruit, spice and floral notes. On the palate red berry flavors, spice, pepper, tangy feel. Fine tannins, medium+ savory finish ending with a tobacco, mushroom and mineral character. Nice!

Old school wine. 19 years old. Dried cherries and overripe blueberries and blackberries. Balsamic. Fresh sliced porcini. Dusty and soft tannins, still there. Still some good acids. Could’ve been better, maybe brighter, a few years ago, but this is a resolved, very happy wine.

Mar 15th, 2020Layered. Gets better as you drink it, and not your typical Toscana red. Delicious!

Mar 25th, 2018Loving this Brunello. Luscious with dark raspberry and cassis. Slight leather and coffee notes. Silky with nice finish. Would drink again!
