Cherry-Berry nose. A bit of oak too. Flavor is tart, juicy and fruity. Bit of licorice. Nice tannins. A fine example of Salento.

Another Grocery Outlet find. I have found other drinkable negroamaros there, so I had reasonable expectations. Light odors of blackberry and oak. Light and fruity on the front. Back end clobbers with tannins and astringency. Kind of like Popeye's arms. Holds up gallantly against the baked ziti and balsamic-drenched broccoli we are eating this Monday night with our two year old. A totally drinkable table wine, with lots of personality. The copy on the back mentions "autochthonous grapes" so extra points for making us dig into our grad school vocabularies. 13.5% Alcohol

80% Negroamaro 20% Primitivo. The color is deep red with a violet highlights. It's bouquet is wide and Rich with notes of fruit and fine spices. It has a full, warm and round mouth-feel with good body and fruit forward flavors.
