Andrew Will
Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Andrew Will wine tasting tonight at the storage facility. My knowledge and experience with WA state wines is small, so this was a great evening to learn and enjoy some very good wines.
This is their "basic" cab. At $35, it's no doubt a killer value. The most fruit forward of their wines for sure. Lots of red and black fruits with a surprising heft to the palate that carried the fruit well. Super easy to drink. Wasn't surprised that this was my wife's favorite.

Poured two glasses & gave a 90 min slow-ox. Spicy oak w/cassis on the nose. All Two Blondes Cab here. Deep & rich with ample black fruit & a firm acid backbone. Tannins are silky & supple.

1 person found it helpfulSep 2nd, 2018I don't really know what to think about this: if I tasted it blind, I would not guess that it is a hundred percent Cabernet Sauvignon. It is a very dark wine with a nose of gunflint and sulfur followed by ripe plums of the red sort. The fruit character is atypical for Cab, red plums, cherries, and even a hint of red raspberry. Very high acid and fine tannins. Not one of my favorites.

Apr 22nd, 2016Integrated and youthful. I'll look forward to the evolution on this because the tannin-acid balance is impeccable.

Oct 14th, 2015Violets.... There is c/f in this fo shizzle, beautiful bouquet, nice restrained format for 2012, has great structure and acidity, for the dollar makes me happy but I didn't holla. It's a nice Andrew intro piece.
