This Cabernet Franc comes from Andrew Will Cellars of the Columbia Valley in Washington. Their Cabernet Sauvignon's are wonderful, so I want to see if that translates over to this Cab Franc. On the nose I get a wonderful aroma of raspberries, cassis, vegetal notes and hints of pepper. At first taste it provides a nice velvety touch. Good mouth feel but on the lighter side. Light and savory tannins, herbal notes, spice, plum, and a bit of blackberry. Very nice wine and easy to drink. Very nice!

Dec 12th, 2013Totally missed this the first time around and when I revisited it the herbs and pyrazines were the huge give away. Tree bark, oak, very fruit forward and funky all at the same time. Yummy.
