Diamond Mountain has great soil for cabernet sauvignon. This is 2016 Andrew Geoffrey cabernet sauvignon : An absolute perfect cab! Black berries and licorice in line up front. Then oaky and graphite sensations arrive. This is followed by a very dry finish. Then there is a little chocolate and spice on the backend. This is very nice !!

Definitely needs air! After that you get nice fruit and depth. OH is still too high for my liking, but this bottle was much better than the last. Really enjoyed it tonight.

I'm stuck between giving this a lot of air and it's over the hill. It has a nose that contains flora scents, perfume notes, and oddly enough aromas of plastic and medicine. Good texture on the palate but minimal fruit and way too high in OH at 15.7%. Maybe that is typical for a Petit Verdot, but not in my wheelhouse. It's definitely unique, so compliments for that, but a little overwhelming to be honest.

Not a subtle rugged version, but an in-your-face smack down monster at 15.7% showing a fiery side that was not mellowed
