OMG 21 Baden Scheurebe is lights out! Psycho nose. Unreal xmas spice, sweet sage, minerals, sweet grass, indica, herbs of all sorts, black currants and grapefruit. Just sickness. 9.5 nose. Out of this world. Wow, what acid, what grip, what flamboyance! Chock full of energy, green fruits and so much acid and drive. This pushes on the finish like nothing else and is god tier juicy. I love this wine. So long. More to come with air. This got so aristocratic and elegant with air. Wow.

Jun 8th, 2023Wow. Grapefruit, black currant. Black currant beyond. So gorgeous. Blueberry. Really aromatic. Wow, aromatic, acidity structured. Gorgeous and pure. Amazing texture. Sappy and pure.

Aug 23rd, 2022I adore this wine. Grapefruit, black currant, grass, sweet confectionery sugar, so much Schlove! Fresh mowed sweet grass. Palate is trocken as trocken can be and so ultra finessed but also energetic and so well done. Refinement city. Perfect balance. So chewy, dense and complex. Light as a feather but so intense. Love this wine so so much.

Jul 3rd, 2022What a nose. Sage, citrus, grapefruit, black currant, apricot, so so aromatic, palate is ripe and concentrated with so much acidity and terrific vibrant minerality. Wow. So clean. Just a drink me drink me drink me wine. Super complex and the energy is insane on this. What presence.

Nose has fresh lemon pith, sage, blackcurrant blossoms, lime peel, freshly mown field and a warm pile of granite rocks.
Palate has dried strawberry, dried red currant (really, wth is this doing in here?), lime wedge, pineapple core, green melon rind and granite chips.
Every day of the week I will tell you that I should really drink more of the Scheurebe in our collection, but I have to practice restraint. Time is always a benefit, this bottle has evolved, shedding some of its youthful acidity but still kicking ass. Laser focused, very good.

Palate is complex and chewy with stunning balance and purity. It’s so well woven and integrated. Wow. Long and complex finish keeps pushing.

Picture grapefruit without sweetness, fresh sage, white flowers, tropical fruits again without sweetness, dried citrus pith, a walk past a freshly mown field of hay beginning to dry in the sun, warm wet granite with moisture rising up after a spring rain, and you're pretty close to what is in this glass tonight. Just absolutely stunning, laser like precision on every aspect. I'm really not sure if Scheurebe gets better than this, just wow, I am floored. I definitely did not buy enough of this wine.
