The 2022 Sottobanco, a varietal Procanico, displays dried flower, crushed rocks, underbrush and apricot aromas. Textural and weighty, it’s lifted by zesty acidity and mineral tones. An ambrosia-like wave of nectarine and ripe melon follows. The 2022 finishes spicy and with candied ginger hints. $24.00 (Eric Guido, Vinous, July 2023)
