Anderson's Conn Valley Vineyards
Right Bank Red Bordeaux Blend
Napa Valley, California, USA

This bottle was opened several hours prior to service and enjoyed over the course of a couple of days. The 2019 “Right Bank“ pours a garnet color with a near opaque core; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with beautiful notes of cassis, blackberries, purple flowers, some green bell pepper, dried green herbs, dry dusty earth, and fine baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin, medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. I think this is delicious and totally name appropriate considering the profile. Drink now through 2039.

The 2016 Right Bank has really gained tremendous weight and richness over the last year. Black cherry, smoke, leather, licorice, cloves and scorched earth are front and center in this massively hulking Right Bank. Deep, dense and potent, the 2016 will go on for 15 to 20 years; maybe more. This is an impressive showing. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, January 2020)

Still amazing. 2nd year of this label. Old school style. Bursts of black cherry with that prominent can franc underpinning.
