A delicious representation of a true Bordeaux blend thx to @Elizabeth Smith 1 year in #napa celebration

This took about 2 hours decant to unfurl its full spectrum of aromas and flavors. Blackberry, cassis, olive, cedar, black pepper, and eucalyptus. Still quite primary with good fruit intensity. A bit lean but smooth and gentle, and gained weight over the course.
This will have long life ahead. Love the 11’ Napa vintage.
A left bank blend. For the money, I prefer the Right Bank bottling.

Another bottle of this after 1st taste 5 years ago. Color of deep ruby, purple, and a bit burgundy, clear. Nose of concentrated aldehyde, dried strawberry, plum, oak, and menthol. Simply beautiful. Taste is amazing, sophisticated sweetness, oak, spice from alcohol, tobacco leaves, sugar plum, dried strawberry, zest note, a touch of mineral, and refined solid tannins. Silky and tasty. Aftertaste is long with silky finish, rind zest, oak, and some more sweetness. A treat.

More old world than new, which is what *I* like. :)

Boysenberry compote with notes of licorice on the nose. The palate is filled with luscious dark fruits and baking spices. Superb!

Very fruit forward. Opened up nicely after about an hour. Good job for a 2011. Will be interesting to see how this evolves over the next couple of years.

Too fruit forward for my taste - no dirt balance. Sitting​ on rest for 3-5 years minimum to see where they go...
