Tama Vineyard Selection Pinot Noir

Anakena Tama Vineyard Pinot Noir 2015 $10. Chile. Aromas of earthy berry fruit and green herbs with floral scents. On the palate cherry flavors with a jammy tone, big acidity with dusty tannins. Medium finish ending with an herbaceous character. Pass on this one. Tasting Sample.

Finally! Not over-ripe, but no hint of greeness. Lovely aromas of forest berries, some leather and sousbois. 2013 vintage.

Classic bramble nose

Follows through with 2 layers interweaving - the high acid and tart, with the full berry flavored bubble gum , you know with that hint of interesting and almost impossible flavor?
Bits of garden vegetable.
Great price point.

This was a staff recommendation at Total wine and I have to say I'm disappointed.

Easy to drink, food friendly red for white wine people.

Really quite likable Carmenere from Chile with full flavor, good balance and bright finish. Really good buy at only $12. Nice accompanying koobideh kebab takeout at home with Mrs.

Light with a slightly astringent finish. Paired beautifully with green lipped mussels and pasta.

I think I underrated it last time, but still it does not change mine view on budget Chilean PN, mine average score is under 3 - ok I tried only 6 bottles but I couldn't find even one interesting and worth re-buying. This one seems to be ok, strawberry with raspberry in a forest sauce. Bit woody with mushrooms.

Pomegranate, strawberry, cola, clove, and a little pepper. Not bad but missing something at its core and a very short finish

Chilean PN is not for me, I feel it not the first time. It smells like wet fur or if I have to associate it with something more pleasure I would say some herbal notes, in taste is ok, light body with notes of strawberries powdered with black pepper :)
