Dec 29th, 2021Brilliant ruby-red. An exotically perfumed and expressive bouquet evokes ripe red berries, incense, candied rose, along with hints of blood orange and Asian spices. Fleshy and seamless on the palate, offering powerful, appealingly sweet raspberry liqueur, cherry and spicecake flavors that become more lively with aeration. Strongly echoes the floral and spice notes on the subtly tannic finish, which shows very good delineation and spicy thrust. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, December 2021)

Crushed plum, baked cherry, douglas fir, juniper, pine and Vic’s vapor rub, white pepper, lavender, cinnamon, spices. VA and old, estery barrel character evident

May 5th, 2021Damn this is good. Bright, clean, round but angular? All the things. Crazy acid. So closed then open. Perfume. Red apple candy. Transparent. Beautiful to look at and taste. What a food wine. Fantastic, sexy grenache.

Apr 3rd, 2021Fantastic dimension and purity. Elegant, beautifully fruited, great balance of acid, body, tannin on a focused Grenache frame. Nose is red dominant, crisp cherry, raspberry and santa rosa plum. There’s a lovely melange of herbal notes: eucalyptus, talcum, sweet thyme, balsam. Lavender, lilac, white pepper cinnamon round it out. A very pinot-esque Grenache. Always stoked to have this in my glass.

Mar 28th, 2019Alcohol overwhelmed the nose but this baby could develop into something very interesting. After about 20 minutes in the glass some wonderful herbal notes came out #grenache #barossavalley #australia #ownrootstock
