Beautiful ruby/purple in color with a light purplish rim.

Light nose of cherries, strawberries, sour raspberries, oak, leather, licorice, bitter herbs, bell pepper, peppercorn, earth and acetone.

Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity and long legs.

Fruity on the palate with blackberries, plums, cherries, red currants, oak, vanilla, raspberries, bitter vegetables, green beans, alcohol and peppercorn.

Medium plus on the finish with firm tannins, tart cherries and bitter almonds.

This is an earthy Cabernet Sauvignon based blend, from Israel.

Feels young and unbalanced, but drinkable nonetheless, especially with food. I've had this vintage before and found it much more balanced than now. Might be taking a hiatus for a while...

Very green right now, but with a great mouthfeel. Will benefit from 2 additional years in the bottle. Needs 2 hours to breathe, so take your time.

A blend of mainly Cabernet Sauvignon, with Syrah and Merlot.
Aged for 24 months in French oak barrels, and one additional year in the bottle, before release.

15.7% (Yeah! I know... ) alcohol by volume.

Delicious!

Deep ruby in color with a burgundy/ brick rim. What a gorgeous color.

Fruity on the nose with blackberries, black currants, cherries, sweet strawberries, oak, licorice, vanilla, leather, earth, spices, alcohol, pencil lead and lots of peppercorn. Very complex and inviting.

Full-bodied and elegant with medium acidity and long, beautiful legs.

Spicy on the palate with blackberries, currants, cherries, licorice, herb, toasted oak, vanilla, dirt, bell pepper, spices and peppercorn.

Long finish with firm, yet elegant, tannins and black pepper.

This is a great blend from one of the top wineries in Israel, in my opinion.

Complex and intriguing, well balanced, with great acidity, that makes it interesting. A Great mouth feel with spiciness and oomph.
I had this vintage a year ago, and it dramatically improved. Needs at least 90 minutes to open up, so please take your time.

A blend of mostly Cabernet Sauvignon, with some Syrah and Merlot. Aged for 24 months in French oak barrels (all different sizes).

Thank you, Aaron, for sharing this delicious wine with me.

Inky black in color with a purple rim and gorgeous legs.

Fruity nose, even right out of the bottle, with cloves, plums, cherry, black currants, vanilla and spices.

Soft and fruity on the attack, and tart on the mid palate with blackberries, blueberries, cherries, cloves, and black pepper.

Long finish with soft tannins and sour cherries.

A Blend of cabernet (mostly), Sirah and Merlot.

Aged in French oak for 24 months and one additional year in the bottle .

Amphorae Rhyton 2016. A blend of CS, Syrah and merlot. Dark color, soft tannins, chewy, jammy but balanced. An enjoyable wine.
