It's time for my #FridayCabernetfix. Here is a delicious Cabernet Sauvignon.

Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish /brick rim.

On the nose blueberries, blackcurrants, blackberries, cooked cherries, cedar, vanilla, eucalyptus, wild flowers, spices, chocolates, tobacco leaf, dark coffee and peppercorn.

Full bodied and elegant with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, figs, plums, cooked cherries, coffee, chocolates, tobacco, peppercorn, espresso and alcohol.

Long finish with round tannins, tangy raspberries and chili pepper.

This is a nice surprise. This is a delicious Cabernet Sauvignon from Israel. Showing nice complexity with a soft mouthfeel. Rich and round.

Good by itself or with food. Loved the nose on this 14 year old.

I had this vintage a few years ago, and it seems like it is on the decline now, so drink up.

Needs a couple of hours to open up properly, so be patient.

Had it blind and called Cabernet based Bordeaux blend, but it's 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged in French oak barrels for 36 months.

92 points.

15% alcohol by volume.

$70 (current vintage).

This Friday, for my Cabernet fix I chose a wonderful wine from Israel.

Dark ruby in color with a reddish rim.

On the nose, blackberries, blueberries, plums, cherries, oak, currants, licorice, earth, chocolates, light vanilla and white pepper.

Full bodied with medium plus acidity, smooth and elegant, with great legs.

Dry and fruity on the palate with cherries, currants, vanilla, licorice, tobacco, oak, cocoa, cedar, cloves and black pepper.

Long finish with big, full, firm tannins and peppercorn.

This is a great Israeli red wine. Well balanced and smooth with great complexity. Shows power and richness from nose to palate.

Not as good as the 2008 vintage, and needs some more bottle time, but still, one of the best Israeli wines I've had.

These 100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are aged for 36 months in French oak barrels. Only 65,000 bottles were produced annually from this Winery.

This is just delicious.

15% alcohol by volume.
