Deep garnet purple. Black cassis jam and vanilla extract on the nose and fruit-forward medium-full palate. Medium acidity — just enough to make it a worthy food wine — and present but non-aggressive medium tannins on the finish (ditto). If New World Cab is your style (I admit that I prefer old, left bank Bordeaux), then this should easily satisfy as an everyday Cab that’s sturdy enough for the “fine” table. Drink by 2021.

Bought this as a Total Wine employee recommendation who said it was a "big, bold cab." Boring and flat on first taste, and second, and third. Low tannins and off-dry. It improved once we tried it with spicy tomato pasta sauce, but not enough to buy it again.

This is a favorite of the clerk who helped us at Total Wine. I have not tasted it yet. The guy's name was Raven. But it was really a Pinot Noir. The app got it wrong again.
