Dena and Ernie are so underrated. Beautiful dark cherry, black tea, and underbrush. Potent nose.

Pinot Meunier is my favourite grape variety. For the new world- I love it so much more than its Noir sibling. It says- hi! I have depth- but I don't take myself seriously. I really like stems and I smell of sweet wet leaves crunching under foot. Yes. Yes.... And yes. Happy Thanksgiving!

Based on this, I want to find some more American Meunier.

12.6 alc. upon first pulling cork, very reductive...matchstick on nose/pallet. Blowing off within a couple of mins. Musty bright red berry, nice aromatics, long finish.

I love this light-bodied high acid wine with its cranberry flavors.

The 2021 is surprisingly more refined, less “crunchy” in its acidity, but also slightlyyy less flavorful than the 2017, but not by much. Still a very special, tough to find gem with a beautiful, prominent, fruit forward nose.

Delicious and an incredible value! The nose is crunchy with ripe red fruits, with a palate of delicate cranberries and raspberries, almost candied in the notes, with some flavors of almost mint (maybe basil), and light pepper and freshness on the finish.

Really light in color, like, cran-juice light. And good, but a thinking wine that requires a bit of pondering to get to what’s going on — red vines, hibiscus, cranberry, with a rustic character that doesn’t distract. It could stand to mellow for a few years. Good stuff and I love to see Oregon producers embracing Pinot Meunier on its own.
