Beautiful pungent nose that puts forth like a plum compote or jam, pine sap, perfumed florals, hints at dark red fruits, and maybe a little smoke, and something that makes me think of mushrooms and thistle (though that could just be me) with some peppery grass at the finish. Medium body, with notes of roasted meat, earthy tannin, tart rich plum, and prominent spiced notes. Rich, dark, and extremely expressive without being a fruit juice bomb this is a really good pinot.
