Woa....WAY beyond our expectations! You expect a great Brunello from these guys, I get it, but if you can find a 2001 someplace that's been cellared well, BUY IT! Spectacularly smooth, with Dark fruit of blackberries, a touch of spice and one of those bottles that go in the VERY memorable category. 30 plus second finish, and absolutely caught it at its peak. I just can't express how good, and timely opening this bottle is. Bought at the winery in 2013 and shipped back......only one we had. Maybe the best bottle I've had this year....ya, that kind of memorable.
