Climb into the brown submarine! This is subterranean and deliciously dank. Big hot, black soil notes intertwine with raw cocoa nib and smoky blackberry. Cedar and briar, leather and biomass. This is a stubble and schist wall of tannins up front, with a king-fu grip!

Vistaflores Estate Altamira de los Andes reserve Malbec 2010. 14.8% alc. This ruby red 100% malbec from Mendoza Argentina is not bad. Not being a fan of malbec, I think I can drink this one. The bouquet is blueberry pie. The palate is a bit pruny for me. But there are notes of fig, plum, and blackberry. This is followed with a prune like following but half as sweet. The ending is dry - very Dry! At 30 dollars I dont think Ill buy it again. But it is very good!!!!! Compared to Tapiz it is out of the running!!!

Starts off velvety smooth before the tannins really kick in. Goes great with Miss Vickys sea salt and malt vinegar chips.

Needs time to breath then very smooth. A little light in taste in the back end though.
