Haven’t had much luck with red Sancerre until tonight at Blanchard’s in Anguilla (worth a diversion!). Velvety, powerful and mushroom-weighted with age, black tea, gritty minerality. So nice. Drink up.

Truly stunning- a complete wine with power and finesse. Bursting with sweet red fruit. Intense minerality. Ample weight without feeling heavy, and a finish that seems to last all day. The delicacy and sweetness of Volnay with the power and structure of Gevrey. Leather, licorice, tobacco, smoke. In a blind tasting this would be hard for me to differentiate from a 1er cru Burgundy. Easily the best Sancerre rouge I’ve had the opportunity to taste. Will age for 15 years or more. Gorgeous wine.

Wow! Magnificent Pinot Noir combining the finesse of the grape variety, with the density of a remarkable aging of expertise. Blindly one thinks of course of a renowned Burgundy, while bringing a personal identity. Which class !
Wow! Magnifique pinot noir associant la finesse du cépage, à la densité d’un élevage remarquable de savoir faire. A l’aveugle on pense bien sûr a un réputé Bourgogne, tout en apportant une identité personnelle. Quelle classe !
