A delicious wine for a cold Winter’s evening. Decanted for about four hours. Fabulous bouquet. Full-bodied. Blackberries and dark chocolate predominate.

I admit to being very hard to please when it comes to Merlot.
I think the general consensus among fellow winemaking colleagues is that Pinot Noir is THE most difficult varietal to get right.
I vote for Merlot being a close second.....

Inky purple. Dry, full body, nice tannins. Plums, cocoa, and tobacco. A terrific wine by the fireplace on a cold rainy night.
