Most classic example of Pinot Grigio I ever tasted. Single Vineyard. Really stands out.

Cherry and Lavender. Tart, acidic, clean finish.

Could have been a good wine if the Brett hadn't made it so hollow.

Drank it “pure” i.e. without food so the higher acidity was clearly noticeable. Very good but definitely a dinner wine

Initial nose of cheap funky cab franc… off-putting. But with time: more nuanced grilled meat and plum. Palate has nice lightness but brief finish. Cedar and dark fruits and a slight hint of licorice. Tannins are fine. Highly recommend but would not re-purchase.

Earthy, heavy and needs time to breath before drink

Deep dark fruit slightest tinge of oak but lighter body. Nice.

Lagrein is a rare grape and serendipitous find from when I was in Alto Adige in August. There are less than 500 hectares planted worldwide and my hotel was perched above at least one of them. Conus has three things I love: dense fruit, minimal intervention, and alcohol restraint. A good reference point would be Cabernet Sauvignon bottled from concrete instead of oak and picked early.
