Strong flavor of grape skin and stem. More complex than the Valpolicella but would likely skip this and go to the Amarone. Tasting this at the same time as the Valpolicalla and Amarone from the same winery.

Bright sour cherry notes with an underlying hint of almond. The terroir balances the acid and fruit quite nicely. Some raisin hints give this wine the right amount of depth for a ripasso. Very nice example.
