Blueberries is what my 2 yr old said he smelled. And grapes! Ripe berries (yes blueberries included for me) dried herbs, light cigar box. Fun approachable wine.

I like few Amarones, and therfore don't drink much from this region. However, I like corvina and I'm fan of La Poja. I wanted to try their budget version from the La Grola plot; 80% corvina and 20% syrah (Veronese IGT classification). Dark ruby color; dark dried fruits, cherries, complex nose with hints of old leather and vanilla; medium acid, medium alcohol, and a fairly long balanced finish. Very good!

Bought @ Eatley. good return to drinking wine worth its grapes. Listened to "damn time" discussing wedding shower, career, FOCCUS. Idyllic summer night Chicago. Aldi steaks...maybe a touch over done on Coleman camp grill.
