Introducing Alkoomi’s latest white label Sauvignon Blanc Release. This 2017 Sauv is from the Frankland River in WA’s Great Southern region and retails for $15.
Pale baby yellow colour on the eye with subtle green flecks. Whiffs of white pepper, gooseberry, capsicum/asparagus, grass and grapefruit on the nose. In the mouth it has a lovely smooth texture with crunchy acidity and flavours of passiofruit, lemongrass and sugar snap peas coming through for me. It went well with my kale slaw with mango and prosciutto.

The latest Sauvignon Blanc release from the Alkoomi Wines team from WA's Great Southern region. 2016 had a nice warm growing season with decent rainfall to produce excellent fruit which makes this $15 Sauvy B über good value.
On the eye it's a pale yellow diamond colour. The nose entices you in with crisp scents of fresh herbs, passion fruit and candied lemon. Pineapple and passionfruit stand out on the palate for me with some refreshing pink grapefruit on the finish. Think of all the synonyms for 'refreshing' and you have your description of this tipple.
